We study protein conformational dynamics via biophysical methods and NMR. Our work provides insights into mechanisms of complex biological processes involving: 1) Enzyme functional dynamics and physical mechanisms, and 2) GPCR activation and interactions with drugs, G proteins and other effectors. 19F NMR is often used to piece together dynamics and mechanistic descriptions. We have designed methods to improve topology studies by 19F NMR in addition to designing new reporters to improve resolution of states.
