Himanshu Singh
Dr Singh was born in Prayagraj and studied in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. He completed his engineering degree in Industrial Biotechnology from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra, Jammu, India, in 2010. After getting exposed to some interdisciplinary research, he pursued his PhD thesis in the group of late Prof. KVR Chary at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, until 2016. This work constituted real-time cellular Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) on plant metabolic analyses. After a few months of his stay at TIFR Mumbai and TIFR Hyderabad as a visiting fellow, he joined the group of Prof. Rasmus Linser at Ludwig Maximilians University, Department of Chemistry Pharmacy, in Munich, Germany, in July 2016. During this period, research was expanded by elucidating protein structure and dynamics using solution- and solid-state NMR methods. From 2018 to 2022, he was a part of Prof Linser's group at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany, where the group worked on how protein dynamics control biological function using the solution, solid-state NMR methods and computational tools.
