Cryogen-free magnets and cryostats for EPR (#210)

We present three cryogen-free systems for EPR study that do not require liquid helium or liquid nitrogen to operate.

1. EPR cryostat to be operated inside the standard resistive Bruker magnet for X and Q bands EPR. The cryostat is equipped with optical window.

2. Horizontal field compact 3.4 T magnet with integrated cryostat for Q and W bands EPR.

3. Horizontal field 6 T magnet with integrated cryostat for W band EPR.

Magnets are equipped with +- 1000 G sweep coil. Magnetic field homogeneity: 25 ppm in 10 mm diameter spherical volume.

The integrated cryostat can control the sample temperature in the range 2 - 350 K with stability of 10 mK. All magnets and cryostats are compatible with Bruker resonators.

All magnets are supplied with charging power supplies. All systems use Lake Shore temperature controllers and monitors.

The LabView written software is in use for the systems operation.

All systems are suitable for the frozen samples experiments. Systems can be used continuously for several months.
